Climate Change Study in Nepal

Climate change in used to taught in different academic institutions in Nepal in the aggregation with different subjects.  It is only the part of study in the subject like meteorology.  Tribhvan University  (TU) has introduced Bachelor of Environmental Science in BS2054 ( 1997AD). Later on 2001 it start Master of Environmental Science as a different faculty. Although, climate change is the study matter in BSc Environmental Science and MSc Environmental Science it is not taught as different elective subject like mountain resource and water resource. After introducing study of environmental science it takes more than decade to introduce climate change as elective subject in MSc by TU.

Besides TU, Kathmandu University (KU) Pokhara University (PU) has also introduced environmental management and environmental science as a different faculty. The climate change is major part of studies in both universities. In this way hundreds of college affiliated to TU, KU or PU has one of the faculty as environment where climate change is the subject matter of study.
